Legislation to enable sales of beer in supermarkets and convenience stores will result in reduced choice and convenience for consumers, the president of the Pennsylvania Malt Beverage Distributors Association (MBDA) said today.

With more than 1,200 beer distributors across Pennsylvania, there’s sure to be one within a few minutes of your home offering a fantastic selection of domestic and foreign beers as well as craft and micro-brews and related beverages and party supplies. The real key to consumer convenience would be a change in the law to allow distributors to sell beer by the six pack as well as by the case.
